Tariffville Village Association [Food Drive]

Greetings to All,

The Tariffville Village Association is expanding its efforts to help restock the Simsbury Food Pantry. This will be a coordinated effort throughout the Town to make sure everyone has the opportunity to donate. It is an excellent opportunity to help your neighbors, in a most meaningful way, to enjoy the Holidays.

There will be a kick-off on December 11, starting at 1:00 pm, and we are asking food donors to bring their donations to the collection point at the Gazebo on the Tariffville Green. We’ll continue to collect donations until 4:00, when the annual Holiday Sing will begin see attached flyer). Those attending the Holiday Sing are again asked to bring a non-perishable food donation. The Holiday Sing will feature the Sweet Adelines, St. Bernard’s Church choir, and of course, the Tariffville Elementary School choir.

The need for food is as great as it has ever been, and we’re not waiting until the 11th to get things started. Anyone in Simsbury can arrange for pickup of their donation by the TVA. You can call Chet or Laurie Matczak at 860-651-3802, or email us at chetj01@comcast.net or lgm01@comcast.net and we will arrange to pick up your donation. Donations can always be made directly at the Food Pantry at Eno Hall. And there is a collection box at Rosedale Farms if that is more convenient.

We hope that everyone will enjoy the Holidays, but we also know that the need for food will continue throughout the year. So the food drive begins now, but we will continue to pickup food donations indefinitely.If you want to give, all you’ve got to do is call.Happy Holidays to all!
